Logging a Service
DASH by Relay - Logging a Service
- Click Log Service – Multiple options:
- My Caseload
- Student Information
- All Students
- Service Date – Select a date from the pop-up window.
- Current date is bold
- Future dates are not available
- Service Type – Selecting the service type will activate the form.
- The list is specific to your service area. Non-billable options are located at the bottom of the list.
- Complete all required fields on the form. Required fields are indicated.
- NOTE: The submit log button will not activate until ALL required fields are completed.
- Time – Entering two of the following will populate the third
- Start Time – Direct entry or pop up drop down.
- End Time - Direct entry or pop up drop down.
- Duration – Calculated or direct entry.
- Progress Report - Click to open the drop down.
- Location - Select from the dropdown menu.
- Areas Covered / Assessed – This option is required when using the service type "No Proc No Therapy." Click on the box to open the dropdown menu.
Select desired options. When required you MUST select at least one but, you may select all that apply.
- Goals and Objectives – Place a checkmark in those you wish to include in the log. Choose all by placing a checkmark in the all box. You may select individual objectives by click on the objectives link. You may edit the goal by clicking on the pencil icon on the right side.
- Comments – 5000-character limit. Roughly 750 words.
- You may type or paste comments into the field. Voice entry may be accomplished by clicking on the microphone in the top right corner of the text field.
- Quick Responses are great ways of storing frequently used phrases for repeated use. Quick responses are not student specific, they will appear on all students you are documenting on. Quick Responses have a size limit of 100 characters.
- Click Submit Log

Pre-fill / Auto-fill Comments
Comments will pre-fill based on the student and service type entered.
The pre-fill feature can be enabled or disabled using your account Settings.
Enable: Click the toggle to the right to turn on auto-fill comments (pre-fill). The toggle will turn pink.
Disable: Click the toggle to the left to turn off auto-fill comments (pre-fill). The toggle will turn gray.
